That was the spark. Catherine Meuter and Stefan Mathys asked the question over a beer on a balmy summer night in 2019.

With over 2 decades in luxury footwear, Catherine and Stefan found themselves fed up with the industry's endless waste, disposability, and trend cycles built to collapse.

"We weren’t chasing disruption for disruption's sake. We were chasing longevity in luxury, a smarter design that would outlive landfills, and that made disruption inevitable."

Why? Because 90% of sneakers end up in landfills not long after they’re bought. Because the industry rarely thinks beyond next season. Because most shoes are built to be replaced.

We built a smarter sneaker that refuses to follow, we built VNY to break the cycle.

VYN Exclusive Sign-Up Giveaway Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility: The VYN Exclusive Sign-Up Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Participants must sign up through the VYN email sign-up form and comply with all sign-up terms as defined by Klaviyo. Employees, affiliates, partners, and their immediate family members are eligible to participate.
2. Entry & Participation: No purchase is necessary to enter or win. One entry per person (verified by email). Duplicate entries may be disqualified. Participants must provide a valid email address and agree to receive marketing communications from VYN. Entries must be submitted between March 15, 2025, at 12:00 AM PST and March 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM PST.
3. Winner Selection & Notification: Winners will be selected through a random drawing based on the tiered sign-up order:
– Entered for a chance to , a , and a VYN Care Kit giveaway.
– Entered for a chance to , a $50 gift voucher, and a VYN Care Kit giveaway.
– Entered for a chance to attend an exclusive/private launch party and a VYN Care Kit giveaway ($180 value).
Winners will be randomly selected and notified by May 15, 2025, via email.
Winners will have 7 days to respond and claim their prize.
If a selected winner does not respond within 7 days, an alternate winner will be randomly chosen and notified.
4. Prize Details & Restrictions: Prizes are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. Gift Vouchers: Must be redeemed within 12 months from the issue date. No minimum purchase required.

5. Giveaway Cancellation or Modification: VYN reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Giveaway at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, fraud, or any reason beyond its control. Any updates or cancellations will be announced on VYN’s social media channels and website.
6. Publicity & Privacy: VYN will not use winners’ names, likeness, or personal details for promotional purposes without explicit consent from the individual. All personal data collected will be handled in accordance with VYN’s Privacy Policy and will not be shared or sold to third parties.
7. Social Media & Third-Party Disclaimers: This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Instagram, Facebook, or any other social media platform. By entering, participants release VYN Switzerland AG, Instagram, Facebook, and all other social platforms from any responsibility related to this Giveaway.
8. General Terms: By entering, participants agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions and any decisions made by VYN regarding the Giveaway. VYN reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates these Terms & Conditions or is suspected of fraud, spam, or abuse.
